General Summary
To handle freight cargo claims in an equitable and legal manner; provide technical direction to assistants; and support claims associates and management.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Identifies liability for assigned freight claims presented against FedEx Freight.
Investigates, directs, negotiates and concludes assigned freight claims consistent with liability in accordance with the national freight classification and corporate policy.
Concludes freight claims as assigned with settlement authority up to $5000 (U.S.)
Pursues subrogation/recovery right against responsible parties.
Remains current on applicable law relevant to assigned claims.
This position will be located in Harrison, Arkansas. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
High School Diploma/GED.
Three (3) years of experience in a business related field.
Customer service experience.
Ability to type and operate a personal computer.
Strong communication skills and human relations skills.
Knowledge of daily LTL operations and national motor freight classification guidelines.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
