Social Worker

Overview:
Provides social case work services to hospital and clinical patients
Plans and participates in programs and interprets social and environmental factors to the patient, medical staff and the patient's family
Helps coordinate health resources in the community for Discharge Planning.
Requires Bachelor's Degree
Responsibilities:
Assessment: Ensures that an assessment and reassessment, as indicated, of psychological, social, environmental, and financial impact of illness on all patient referrals and on those identified as having a potential need is conducted in a timely manner (as prescribed by policy) to determine the patient's and family's capabilities in relation to the patient's anticipated needs.
Resources: Use resources to meet patient needs in inpatient and outpatient settings. Evaluate the effectiveness of the patient resources program on an ongoing basis, identifies opportunities for improvement and implements processes to improve the program.
DC Planning: Ensures that a care plan is developed according to the patient/family needs and contributes to the multidisciplinary plan of care as indicated according to the needs of the patient/family. Informs other members of the healthcare team the patient plan of action so they can reinforce, support and be a part of the plan as indicated.
End of Life: Ensure that Comfort Care or Hospice patients and families are provided counseling and/or assistance during the goals of care decision making process. Assist with applications/paperwork required for Hospice resources.
Prioritizes cases appropriately and demonstrates ability to prioritize multiple cases appropriately to meet patient needs, emergencies and departmental needs and deadlines.
Demonstrates and applies knowledge of human development, of the potential for human growth, of social systems, and of the availability of social resources. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span to assess age-specific needs of the patient and provide for the appropriate care.
Able to recognize indicators of domestic violence, elder abuse, child abuse, child neglect, and sexual assault and makes appropriate referrals.
Qualifications:
Education:
Maintains 24 units annually of Social Work Continuing Education (SWCE) as described in the Regulations of the Arkansas Social Work Licensing Board
Degrees, Licensure and/or Certification:
Bachelor's Degree Required.
Prefer Licensed at MSW level or higher in state of Arkansas.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
